It's beautiful, sweet and crisp!

I've been wondering about irises listed as blooming 'EML' (early, middle, late)...wondering if that meant they bloom the whole period, or if they are unpredictable and can bloom anytime during that period (but still bloom for the normal length of time). Your comment leads me to believe it's more toward the first interpretation. When I first started buying irises i focused a lot on EML's and re-bloomers (wanted the most bloom for my buck!)...that's part of the reason I have so many Sutton irises.

Then later I went on a space-age binge, and now it's more about their value for hybridizing with an emphasis on fragrance (because I want to breed fragrance back into some of the beautiful irises created my the likes of Joe Ghio). So in the end my collection is all over the place! Hilarious! Hilarious!
