Hi Everybody! Have been out of town, doing a show near Atlanta and visiting with 2 old friends, one in Ga and the other in Hilton Head Island. Cancer survivors, one having a recurrence, the other one OK and growing hair again. Had a good time nevertheless, Oysters and Cosmopolitans, right up my alley. Starting for home yesterday morning, the van jerked and bucked, scary, and I put fuel-line cleaner in it and filled up with expensive gasoline. It got a little better but still was one harrowing ride, over 400 miles, and it died 12miles from home...a little good luck among the bad..AAA towed me home.
Picked up some wildflowers on the roadside, some bright red poppy (plants and seed) and some Lobelia-looking blue plants, maybe I can get them to grow here. They were in hard parched clay soil.
Checked my messages and found my ex-brother-in-law is in hospice care, cancer too. Have always been good friends with this one.

Jan, I got the Frangipani vine at the Walter Fuller park plant and Arbor day festival in St. Pete. They have a very big event twice a year, you should check it out. Many specimens you don't usually see. I will post a picture of it, soon.

Anticipating coming home and relaxing, it's always the same, once I get in the door there is all that stuff that has accumulated and needs to be taken care of, including that funny smell in the kitchen...and what the 'caretakers' misplaced or screwed up. The puppy got out this morning, somebody had left the side gate open...

Sorry to hear about Jeremy.
