Greene, the light your son-in-law has/had, is very low wattage and would only be suitable for a very small space. Do you know whether the light(s) is water-proof. I use numerous LED's, but they are all water-proof.

Frank, that fixture is really huge, considering it has all that wattage and needs three fans. I would have loved to have invested in one such as this (when I experimented in LED's) but because of the expense and the lack of water-proofing, I had to go smaller. The lack of water-proofing was the real turn-off though.

These colorations are really, really weird and yes, they are bright. Talk about bright though. You should put a six bulb, T8 fixture alongside a 6 bulb, T5H fixture. The difference is almost like night and day. I would never have believed the difference in light output if I did not have these fixtures in the same greenhouse.
