Jane, I went over to Dave's looked at your blog entries but could not find "What's Planted Where" can you send me a link to it?
I did notice over there a lot of info on photography, that's great. I take mostly close ups, I find it very hard to get a wide view of even a 10 foot section and still retain any detail with my camera, which is by the way on the fritz. I have figured out that if I don't use the zoom, it will take pictures. If I use the zoom I may not get a picture at all, or it may end up all green, all red, or all blue. Strange!
I know the problem with the squirrels is my fault...but the labels are quick and simple to make. I use discarded venetian blinds, and number two pencil. They last pretty well, but are too easily dug up by the critters. I have been thinking of better ways to secure the tags. maybe a small shallow mold poured with concrete and the blind slat embedded in it? Then bury the concrete part under ground. Any thoughts? I also thought about just making a slit and sliding another slat though the slit and burying that, I may try that idea today. Thanks for the nudge! Sometimes just talking about an idea is enough motivation to get it done.
