Jerry, I found one thread talking about figs in the Propagation forum. It's from 2011 so pretty out of date, but still very interesting, and if you post to that thread, some of the other folks on there might respond.

I have one fig tree here, a 'Celeste' that has greenish yellow figs. It's not doing too well, as we have so much fun with fungus here in Florida. Every summer it gets rust on the leaves and drops them all just as the figs are ripening. I'm lucky to get any ripe fruit. Then it sets another crop just as our cold weather begins in November or December, so those ones don't ripen either.

I'm sort of frustrated, can you tell?
