Donna ,crossing these plants isn't rocket science. In fact it's so easy that now we have hundreds of registered cultivars. Just be sure you have two different varieties and transfer the pollen from one to the other. For the most part these are self infertile. Pollen transfer is easy with something like a "Q" tip or small brush. It's the long wait for the seed pod to mature that kills you.
