The second photo is extraordinary!
Ever since Dirt mentioned the bees were going after the coffee grounds I have been thinking about why. As a former beekeeper, I was intrigued by the question. Sugars would certainly be the first thought. Are there sugars in brewed coffee grounds? Perhaps this will provide some enlightenment:

Then I wondered why the coffee grounds in the pollen sacs?
Bees make a substance called propolis which they use to seal the hives with. It's sort of a resinous substance and is quite effective for the purpose. Bees are masters at making things "right & tight". See:
