I notice it wants to be deprived of some watering and with the change of daylight, it later on responds by making buds..that's how I see it. I do not do any hiding in the closet thing for it.but I did refrain from watering around early Fall. Then as winter came, I saw some buds forming..that's when I slowly give it more water.
Today it is my salmon peach colored Schlumbergera showing up
I have it sharing a container with that other pinkish white schlumbergera.
