Hello tracyloves! Welcome!

Agree with Barbara. Sometimes too, with the amaryllis, it may seem to flop the new leaves, but it is actually trying to redirect energy to push something new out, could be another new leaf, or maybe the start of a bloomstalk.. Once it is is done, that floppy leaf goes right back up. I also usually prepare for the bloomstalk, by having a long stake carefully stuck near the bulb, so when it starts growing taller, it is already in place and I will not worry hitting any new roots below. Then I would lightly tie the growing stalk in a leash, not too tight, as it will keep on moving as it seeks more light. You will have to help the plant by turning your containers, half turn.

Would love to see the photos of your growing bulb Smiling
