Thanks to Lori
@growitall I have good germination of Calceolaria biflora.
Seeds were on moist vermiculite, and in a south winter window at about 65ºF or 17 ºC .
Sown January 19 and germination appears today on January 30, so about 11 days.
Thank you Lori for the fresh seeds. Germination is almost always better with fresh seeds.
Now, I want to start some Lobelia valida and/or dwarf Delphinium to plant out with these.
I have seeds for both.
I am trying the new "Summer" series of dwarf delphiniums.
Near these I am planning to do a direct sow of dwarf Bachelor buttons with dwarf yellow Cosmos.
That should give "colour echoes" of blues and yellows.
I plan colour combos, but often the bed turns out differently!
