Nice article Dinu! Love the fairy gardens too Kim.
I have not got a picture, but while touring a local English style garden, I saw a great use of broken pots. The lady had several large fruit trees that were potted and in the container she had piles of broken pots. I asked the purpose and she said it was a great way to keep the soil cool in the summer and warm in the winter and to avoid displacement of the soil when watering.
She also had this delightful fruit tree on a brick wall with all types of blue & white pieces beneath with broken or cracked items outlined with blue wine bottles.
