Sue, lower bud counts are the norm for arilbreds. CAIRO LOVE SONG is no exception. Arilbreds, more often than not, compensate by having many stalks in a clump bloom and that what you are seeing in this photo. They also tend to replenish the fans readily, so it does not impact bloom the following year. It's just a matter of having a healthy growing environment for them. This photo was taken in 2005. Here's the same clump again in 2008.
