I grew 2 generations last year... from a few kernels sent me by Nan Ondra.

She gardens in PA... probably be worth talking to her...

Corn is wind pollinated, and is generally grown in patches... But I did ok by hand pollinating my few stalks... I collected the loose bits from the tassels and sprinkled over the silks on the ears...

I would not want to attempt growing in a container... But due to the vole problem I have... all my plants were started in gallon pots and then set out in the garden after they were large enough to handle...

Howsa bout setting the corn out in little fences? Or just fencing the dogs out of a small area?
