It really is a lovely plant, you can see why it has the common name. The flowers change color as they age so it usually has dark purple, mauve and almost white on the bush at the same time.
It's been so long since I've seen one, do they start out purple and fade or the other way around? The one I remember was a big beauty at Selby Gardens just like that one in Hetty's picture.
