Guava: One's I've tried and all are to sensitive to cold to be grown in Tucson. Or in parts of Tucson that dont have warmer microclimates than my area has.
White Indian Guava
I also had a pink variety that I did not document what it was that also froze. It was the tropical variety.

Hardy Guava's:
These would be from the Psidium cultivars.
Red Strawberry and Lemon Yellow - Both these have done well in my yard and only slight freeze damage. Even when we had the big freeze several years back.
The fruit in my opinion is not something to my liking.

Cherry of the Rio Grande - So far the bush has had very little damage, even during the big freeze. I've had more trouble with heat than the cold with this plant. The bark is very nice. Hard to find and when you can find one they are not cheap. the plant started out as a one gallon size was around $30 and might have been 1.5' tall. In 5 years it has grown to around 8' tall. Have had no flowers on this plant. Keeping my fingers crossed. The bark has neat textured look to it.

Other fruit trees/bushes that I or the cold killed:
Mango - Manilla - froze
Cherimoya - Chaffey - froze
Pomegranite (variety called favorite) Had a very poor root structure and I had a constant battle with the wood splitting near the base of the plant. Removed.
