After the blooms have faded I cut the flowering scape back and keep the foliage going. May 1st I remove the plant from the container and plant it in my garden and leave it there all season. As the weather cools down I bring it back inside. After a rest in a dark place with no water for about one month I repot the bulb. This year I was rewarded with four beautiful blooms and two new side bulbs. Visiting Florida each year one of our neighbors keeps his Bulbs in the ground all year and I am enclosing a picture of his results.
