I am in NM not AZ. but my poms bloom in Spring and set fruit afterward. We do get a freeze every winter, even though they are normally not really hard. We got a hard frost killing many things back in Feb. 2011 and our poms had to be cut to the ground, so no blooms or fruit this year. I have grown them many years, they will be fine. I expect fruit next year.
