I guess I provided TMI. I agree with Arlene and she has been using her method for some years very successfully. Dahlias are so gorgeous, bountiful in their blooms and varied. Very much worth any effort. But of course, always KISS -- keep it simple. Usually the best way.

And indeed welcome. We are a positive happy bunch and always like new fellow gardeners. Hurray! Hurray!
