Unlike last winter, we've had some rain this year. Iris are up, as well as daffodils and ranunculus. None blooming yet, so I guess I'll have to cover them Tuesday night. Our front yard looks like it's been "torched." Nearly everything is dead, or looking dead, since the last freeze.

This time last year, the Kite Festival was rained out for the first time in nearly 80 (?) years. It'll be in the mid 70s this Saturday and sunny and breezy. Perfect day for kites! Then the weather gets cold and nasty for a few days. Guess we should be thankful we don't live in the northeast where we'd have to have someone shovel snow off our roof!

Looking forward to spring and being able to talk about what's growing and blooming, instead of the crazy weather! Thumbs up
