BTW, I've done all of those things as well. Now I keep the seed bags in the house and right next to kitty's feed bowl. He protects them very well. Big Grin Seed kept outdoors (for our turkeys) is kept in their shed and inside a metal trash can with a tight-fitting lid. Plastic cans won't stop them, they just chew a hole right through it.
