Glad you mentioned these. We have "tons" of cones every year. Sadly by winter the birds eat all of our holly berries. One thing: It was -3°F here this morning: Perfect for winter interest week! So now I'm wishing for "early spring interest". May I suggest that? Thanks for the pod cast.
P.S. Pine cones give us free seedlings as well as mulch.
