Geof, How do your Persian shield? I had a low success rate with them till I started using Oasis, now I'm almost 100%. I start quite a few things directly in cell packs with Pro Mix, but I have also used sand, a sand milled peat mix, or vermiculite. I use Pro Mix PGX for seed starting.
