Various sources say that the roots of caudiciforms should not be allowed to completely dry out and that this can cause trouble later in the year.
The mistake I made with the Pachypodium horombense was that I started giving it full waterings.
With the ones I just got in I will wait until Tuesday and start spraying the surface of the potting medium every two weeks until they break dormancy.
