Laszlo,

We are having a very early spring so the germination is earlier than normal. I do cover the pots with frost-protective fabric (Remay) when the night time temperatures approach 32F. My pots are in a protected area near my garage that rarely if ever freezes.

When I get two or more sets of true leavers I begin rowing out the seedlings in prepared beds. I do lose some in the transplanting process and my fewest losses occur when I transplant in a light rain. Not good for the hybridizer but very good for the plants!

Like you, I'm not limited to Semp seedlings. Just ask Lynn!

Kevin
