Mellie, it is sort of the same with the vast majority of orchids. The plants are, well, pretty ugly until they bloom. The flowers make up for the lack of plant beauty. Of course I love a lot of my orchid plants, especially those with nice roots, whether in bloom or not. I am a little weird though. :sigh:
I have my eyes out for butterflies and moths now. It is still quite chilly here so nothing but birds are flying.
