I was in Tempe this last weekend 3/20. At the S.E Corner of Priest and University there's a small strip mall. In the parking lot there is a small tree about 10 ft tall with just/only about a few hundred 2-3 inch beautiful yellow flowers. Green leaves are just beginning to push. I have a pic of the tree in my phone and haven't downloaded yet. I believe it's a Tabebuia Aurea. I'm VERY tempted to return in a few weeks and pick pods for seeds. I LOVE this tree! Here's a pic of the flowers. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this tree? -edit. "pic from Google"
