Lin, I love the Cedar Waxwings too. I am just crazy for their markings, I like their body style too. We seem to have them all winter here but I don't catch them all that often with my camera. We overfloweth with Chipping Sparrows! Blinking Bluebirds are cool & we have a ton of them. They bomb the birdbath en masse in the summer. All the fledglings as well as the adults. Things get so crazy they are lined up on the carport roof waiting for an opening at the bath in the afternoons. They get going so nuts that we can count on 2 hits on the window each afternoon. So far no fatalities thank goodness but it makes a thump that makes you cringe. They just get flying so wildly! Often the window will be dripping with water from where they smacked into it or narrowly missed it by the water flung from their bodies as they grazed the window.

I saw something today that made my heart drop. Sad Sad 3 Brown Headed Cowbirds; 2 females & 1 male. They were at the feeders. I know they are known to be here but I sure hope they are just passing through my area & don't plan to set up house here.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
