Thanks so much Carolyn and Goldfinch, nice to be here. I'm still trying to get the hang of Cubits.

Ken - Aw, your dog is a cutie - and BIG! Yep Ken, you're absolutely right, deer resistent and proof are two different things! Well, my Heuchera were like deer candy I guess. They've culled the herd this past winter in the forest preserve so they haven't been eating everything like the used to (so far anyhow) since. I've got two pups of my own so I don't plant anything in the yard they can get to that's poisonous. I never know what those knuckleheads will put into their mouths and eat.

Nice So. Comfort - I had 3 I tried to overwinter in their pots sunk in the ground. I lost all three. But of course the deer jumped in that area despite me putting 5' plastic orange fencing around it and tore a bunch of them out of their pots. I managed to save a couple of something, I'm not sure which ones they are, and they are in the Heuchera Hospital ward right now trying to recover! The villosa should do well for you down there in Texas. Heat and humidity don't seem to bother them too much.
