Our gardens, which are few, have mostly iris in look horrible. The neighbor's chickens have just made a mess out of them digging the leaves and picking at the bulbs. I am just sick about it. I put up with this for two years and now I am going to make sure those chickens go before the plants are completely destroyed. I love my neighbor, but he is city dweller who wants to be a farmer and has no clue what he is doing. Drives me crazy. The ground is free of frost in most gardens but it is much to cold and wet to even think of trying to do anything.

We had to move the golden vicary because we are fencing in the end of the barn so the pony we are going to board has a paddock to run in and out and the vicary is poison to horses. We did manage to move them, but otherwise it is just not possible to do anything else just now. We need more days of dry sunshine.

Many of the Christmas trees are showing signs of wind burn from those very below freezing and cold days we had in February. I hope we can bring them back before next Christmas.
