I was just thinking before reading your blog how exciting new blooms are later in the season, but actually right now is pretty darned exciting also in the garden. Getting out and seeing the new little sprouts and trying to recognize them, pushing back the mulch and seeing new pips, recognizing that new daylily seedlings are still coming up even though other daylilies are almost ready to start sending up scapes. I don't recall a March I have enjoyed as much as this one so far. No tornadoes, not even thunderstorms yet, but plenty of gentle rain and still mild temperatures, the garden is just thriving on this.
