I googled crown rot with heuchera. If you are going to try to save the plant, I would put it in a pot. This way you can monitor how wet or dry the soil is. You want to keep it on the dry side. Also, from what I read, you want to get it out of the soil that it is in, as 'Sclerotium crown rot' can remain in the soil and continue to cause problems. Also, what I read said you should destroy the plant - in my mind, if you have it in a pot, there is no harm in trying to save it.
