Oh my! So many fellow garlic lovers. I will have to do some serious research. Two years ago I planted cloves that were supposed to do well here in central Florida (though I am very close to the beach). I can't remember now whether it was hard neck or soft. But, they didn't do well at all. I waited until the tops wilted and started turning brown (last year), but it was a major disappointment. The garlic was pathetically small. Sighing!
