I moved everything out of both GHs over a week ago. No more freezes for us. It's in the 60s at night and near 80 every day. Hubby put up a low voltage fence around a large second yard patio and it seems to be keeping the deer out. Pretty affordable at Home Depot. Not sure my plants are really worth the expense but I am still hoping I get some harvest. The seedlings I planted in the GH did remarkably poorly (sigh). I have a big...no huge ...learning curve. In the past I've done okay buying seedlings that were ready for planting but growing my own seems to be a different story. They start out great and then just stall. The best ones are peppers--jalapeno, Martha California wonder, Anaheim. How many peppers do you need? Haha. My tomato seedlings started in February are only 2-3 inches tall. They will have to grow fast to produce anything before we hit 100. I doubt I will get much from them. We will see. Sadly none of my local friends are gardeners so they can't look at what I'm doing and give me some direction. Am I not feeding them enough, not enough grow light, or what. I will try again this fall and winter but my GH may ultimately just be a place to overwinter my herbs.
