Carol as you said there's a learning curve. Did you plant based on a zone guide? You may have to plant a little sooner for your area. We start somethings in February for planting out here in Pennsylvania and our last frost date is Mother's Day. There are a number of guides available, such as USDA and Mother Earth News.
