Firstly,

to ATP Musicgirl2222. Glad we were able to help. The stems can get as long as 10+ feet, so the trellis is necessary.

FrillyLily, Elaine asked if the plant had red blooms, Musicgirl2222, did not say whether it had flowers or not.

I merely questioned whether it had thorns in order to corroborate her ID and provide a link to info.
