We dug up most of the front lawn that was purple violets. My son moved all my precious violets to the evergreen garden and we planted mostly iris where the violet lawn had been. There were a number of non-blooming daff bulbs that got moved. The property was purchased from England in 1770, so who knows? So far, I have only found common yellow daffs.
