Hi Dennis!
Nice to meet you!
I agree water is important for daylilies
to give them water weekly but not for them to be in
a soggy area..
The other thing I thought would be amusing...and yet frustrating at times
is when the hot weather here in southeast alabama comes and it is 100
out there or with the heat index and humidity and I am dividing daylilys
I have all mine identified individually with metal stakes
and I type out
white weather resistant labels to place on the metal tag area
however I have been known to be so hot from the weather that I have
put the wrong plant back in the hole ...and not know it till the next year
when it blooms again!
Does anyone know who sells the metal stakes reasonable that have the metal
tag area you can put a label like I use? My source is no longer available
and need someone reasonable to purchase some from soon.
I use 10 10 10 granular around my daylilies in March...
coming out from the center of them a few inches..
A couple tablespoons..per plant..watering it slowly in..
