They are more like crooknecks and straight necks in growth. In the 40 to 50 day class. Like any other summer squash, they are used at a very young stage. Smaller plant than most zukes, altho the dark green ones have something of a zuke taste. They do tend to be drier than straighnecks or zucchini. They do cross pollinate as they are all in the same species.
