Melanie the Carolina Wrens are no shrinking violets. They get used to people pretty quickly. They're sort of like little dogs -- they don't know they're little!

And they will make nests in all kinds of places. In empty or full flower pots, in tennis shoes, in wreaths on doors. Silly birds.

They do have a lovely song when they aren't "scolding". Only the male sings.
