in case the answer is no, its when hosta leaves curl into the shape of a bowl due to different growth rates between the fast growing inner portion of the leaf and the slow growing outer portion. sometimes its so bad the leaf will split and tear due to such a tight curl. my question is: what can be done about it? or is there anything that can be done to prevent it in the first place? we have 71 hostas in our yard and it appears the "Patriot" and "Minuteman" varieties get it worse than all others. perhaps because of the stark contrast between the dark green centers and the bright white edges...? I really don't know, but its driving me nuts! thoughts?
