I know what you mean. We had an excellent year for tomatoes last year but we never got any peppers. Try to imagine that many peppers and they were loaded with peppers and the stupid voles took a bite out of every single one. They ate my melons too. They didn't bother the squash.

Funny, I can never get squash because of the vine borers and squash bugs. I didn't get summer squash last year but I was diligent with the bugs and did get some winter squash.i wrapped my stems with aluminum foil.i'll try anything.

If I would have kept my row cover on the tatsoi would have been fine. Usually that's how mt Chinese cabbage looks but it's not too bad this year.
