Looks like everybody has a white noid ! Several posted here, I have three, or four, one posted on the data base thread.........anyway, I'm beginning to question the 'accuracy" of some of the entries on the various "PBF Lists"....I understand that it is a transient thing....some show early, some late, some all season, and it's affected by both culture, as well as climate. But I wonder if some of those 'entries" aren't "honest mistakes'...example...."A" *thinks* he sees it on an iris, and enters it on one of the lists.....but his iris ID is wrong, and it's not really the iris he thinks it is!, Then ,"B" sees it on the list, and, to be helpful, adds it to ANOTHER list, because" We want to compile a COMPLETE listing", then "C" comes along, and using the PBF lists to help confirm an ID, decides ," I must not have the correct iris, mine doesn't have PBF!". PBF, IMHO, is only a part of the ID process, and really only useful if BOTH iris are grown in the same place, in the same dirt, and "evaluated' by the same set of eyes. I tip my hat to you.
