I lost my large clump of Hillbilly Heart two winters ago, when temps got down to zero. This past winter I lost a couple dozen in pots, including Blazing Saddles ( a favorite) and nine new ones I got from Maryott last spring. I planted my Baja California (overwintered in a large pot for a year) in a new bed last September and heavily mulched it. BC and the other nine daylilies I planted there all came back well this spring.
