we're still in iffy temps here with rain, wind and frost/freeze. I think my orchard is bust this year. Flowering trees are blooming despite the weather (redbud, magnolias, spice viburnum, serviceberry, quince).

I started to clear out beds over a week ago before the weather got bad....had to stop and haven't started again yet but the forecast looks better next week. Thought I saw a bright yellow finch which would be a sure sign of spring...

Sounds like everyone else is really far along....well, I've got plant shopping to look forward to. I have to be careful though because some of my perennials may just be slow this year (no sign of brunneras, only a few hostas, no sign of anemones yet...). Hoping to see this Iris again this year:
