Yep, that's me holding the parsnips and DH smiling in the background!

I am having the same thing with carrots and turnips!

My dad grew parsnips when I was growing up. Hated them! Now I love them when they are roasted but they are finicky germinators and take a long time to grow. Best planted in summer/late spring and kept in ground until after frost. Frost sweetens them.
