Welcome to ATP, SuzyT! If you know the latin name of your plant, that would help narrow down your question. If you are unsure of that, you could search the ATP database under Ranunculus which will bring up all sorts of buttercups and see if one of the photos matches your plant. A couple doubles I found were R. 'Pleniflorus' and 'Yellow Telcolote' - if either of these looks promising you could draw attention to your question to the folks who own those plants by putting an @newyorkrita or @shelly (for example, each owns one of those two) somewhere in your post. That sends a system message to those folks to your post and hopefully they will respond. Good luck - Deb

P.S. The only buttercup I have is R. repens (creeping buttercup) which is an obnoxious and persistent weed for me. But pretty, so if I don't get it all out, it does give me nice flowers. I try to look at the bright side...
