Zone 8/8b depending on the winter...Sometimes they shrivel up and don't work outside, but my friend has a bed with amaryllis and she get great returns. I do think there is something magical about her location...under established trees, under ground. I do not have that same location in my garden. Think they will take the heat and light, but probably don't like the rains we get or the sprinkler I have to use for the grass nearby. we shall see.
I have always wanted to have someone to chat about amaryllis now that I have a bit of a collection.

Do you keep yours indoors year round? Group hug
