It is possible to grow them in containers. Can't think of the website off hand but someone in Australia (HOT!) who has an amazing container collection. Not only the size, location and clematis choice but the container composition is important too. I think though they do need extra TLC .Doesn't Evison have special smaller clems special for containers?
