I did find a new dermatologist and she checked my ear. Said it was nothing to worry about. Took a little bump off the side of my nose. It was benign.
I just noticed when this thread started. I had been putting off finding a new doctor. The responses pushed me to see someone. I hope reviving the thread nudges someone else to get anything suspicious checked out.
