No problem, just go ahead and get it out of the pot and look it over, maybe post more pics if your that unsure if it's alive or dead, I'm pretty sure you're gunna need to start cutting, again, show us if you need to.
It's really important that you left it dry out before you plant whatever is left, so you'll have lots more time to sort out what to do
